Nine Inch Nails

This i respectfully disagree with
His best work may have been with Gerry but the shit he did before he died was really beautiful
>>70044652
>made Deep, one of his worst songs while on drugs
>made Starfuckers Inc on drugs
Paul McCartney

any musician that relies on drugs to create is fucking shit
>Musician is straight edge and makes songs about not taking drugs
>>70044781
Lol ok /pol/, you can format your library now
modest mouse
the clash
>yfw tyler the creator is straight edge
>>70044874
calm your tits i'm far from a poltard.
i'm fine with drugs for fun, on occasion. just that anybody who relies on it to create (barring maybe stimulants to keep you working) is a fucking loser who isn't a creative and more like a junkie who makes noise.
>>70045002
Yes but those very same junkies have made some of your favorite albums
>>70045101
i've never heard a junkie-period record that i enjoyed. drugs if anything are more part of the artists' lifestyle than a direct influence on the music, and when they're more of the latter it's either absolute shit or good shit that could've been ruined by drugs.
>>70044930
>implying tyler is anything but just decent
>>70044930
no wonder his music is severely mediocre
>>70045246
well Lou Reed did a lot of good shit overall.. as well as countless others.. yes even including Radiohead, maybe they weren't using smack but they are still musicians who do shit musicians do
I agree that drugs are ok occasionally, personally I use adderall here and there maybe 3 times a week in just a small amount to keep going after my 8-10 hour work shifts. I don't smoke pot, I drink a few beers every evening, no other drugs. I agree with you mostly
Drugs don't make someone creative, though it may inspire a creative person, and other times it may kill their creativity. This is not me advocating drugs either
>>70045475
yea i'm talking more about reliance. drugs afterall are an experience and as with any other experience it can be drawn from.
