Spotify is actually really great to use and smartly designed but if you want new music the day it's out (especially if you're into hip hop), Apple music is an obvious choice. So far, Tidal has seen some really awesome things launch from it, but in terms of value, you could easily pirate the things that appear first on Tidal with a limited time commitment. Not enough stuff comes out there to form a backlog that would be hard to keep up with.

Spotify is a great app, and Apple Music isn't nearly as robust. But what you lose in user-interface, you might gain in access to new releases.

It's really something that people need to decide for themselves, because they're extremely comparable.

Google play music because uploading your own music is a godsend. And free youtube red is convenient too. Also their radio stations are better than Spotify's, which fucking blow. Haven't used Tidal (LOL) or apple music.

i use soundcloud. it has shit that you cant find anywhere else and stuff made by bedroom producers with like 3k views thats way better than any of the mainstream stuff you hear on those platforms. those are literally radio top 40 at this point. like its cool i guess, but i can hear that shit anywhere. on soundcloud theres some very rare tracks by some no name guy that is better than anything ive heard all year.

I use deezer, only because the fact that deezloader exists/existed, so I can pop em onto a favourites list and then download them in 320/kbps when I get back to my pc

Pandora for casual listening while commuting, physical media/FLAC for serious listening at home
