>Miserable lie is the best song on the album

Actually it's a tie between Reel Around The Fountain and The Hand That Rocks The Cradle. Their s/t accidentally invented slowcore desu.

The versions of the same songs on Hatful of Hollow are better.

I think most people think the same

>Reel Around The Fountain
Second favourite Smiths song, just flows perfectly.

Nope

No. Still Ill in this album fucking sucks.
This is the greatest piece of music ever made.
This is the best album in their trilogy.
Also,
TGM > TBK > TS.
All great tho.
Amnesiac > Kid A

That song isn't part of the very first issue of s/t, though. You're simply referring to the single.

Hand That Rocks The Cradle.. so pretty
A couple Smiths related ones
The Smiths' first two albums are much better than their last two
Hatful of Hollow flows horribly, has inferior versions of songs on the s/t, and is rendered obsolete by the existence of Louder than Bombs. It's also by far the worst of their major releases (the 4 studio albums + Hatful and LTB)
The falsetto bit on Miserable Lie is bloody fantastic
Suedehead is better than any single The Smiths released
Meat is Murder is one of their very best songs and sends chills up and down my spine (despite being a meat eating swine myself)
It is essential that both the s/t and Meat is Murder be listened to with their US bonus tracks (This Charming Man and How Soon Is Now?, respectively)

Well, you got one thing right.

I respectfully disagree with most of this.
I don't know why but The Smiths have a very divisive fanbase.

No. Reel is my favorite song on s/t, but it sounds dreadful on hoh.
