I hear what you're talking about, but each of these albums have different problems sonicly. The first one for example sounds as though the tracks aren't EQ'd properly, so they can't punch through the mix and be heard. The last one is compressed into a fucking pop can and sounds like the instruments were recorded with and iphone 2 rooms away... Idk if that was an artistic choice or what, but it's shit nonetheless. Nice attempt at making non-metal black metal. First couple of works tried really hard to marry black metal with krautrock but failed to produce either, yet the atmosphere was compelling. Occult Rock, though, is a masterpiece. As close to black metal as you can get without actually being metal (imagine a successful Sunbather without the gayness). The fact that they're instrumental most likely works in their favour.
