this album was announced fucking months and months and months ago and has constantly changed the release date

the first single came out 3 months ago
he's released about 6-7 tracks off the album since then

and this isn't unusual or looked down upon

konnichiwa took years to release, the lead single was out for like 2 years before release, and by the time it came out half of it had already been released
jme had songs on his album that had been released 4 years prior
chip drops about half of his ep's as singles before releasing the ep
aj tracey just did the same

come up with a release date, announce said release date a month before, release a single at the time of announcement, maybe release one more track right before dropping if it's a long project. that gives you a month to hype it up which is more than enough time in the modern industry

It isn't childish or embarrassing at all. The way people act it out may be, but the actual idea of techno v 'nuum is a very relevant thing.

It's two completely opposing approaches to dance music coming together. You have techno and derivatives which is all about building up tension and never really letting it go away until the end of the night.
There's nothing like a "banger" in techno, nothing like pulling up a record and shouting stupid shit into the microphone and then playing it from the beginning. There's just tunes that all more or less kinda sound the same, but don't and it's all about how you put those together to create an enjoyable experience.

Whereas in 'nuum related styles it's just about big tunes and every single tune counts. And every single tune has to be an enjoyable experience for the people in the dance, so these tunes obviously have much more impact than most things in techno. And this is also reflected in the way you play this music.

House is kinda weird because it's basically right inbetween.
