I mean it was my favourite era growing up to the hot boyz and cam'ron wiling the fuck out pink everything setting the table for kayne and even further down the line for lil uzi and whatnot.

Southern rap had its best run by far commercially and with Outkast being literally the black beatles but 100x better, the west was thizzing the fuck out during that time and mac dre was thugging heavily out there, and that was the last era the east coast had its own sound that isnt just old wutang boom bap in 2016

timbaland and pharrell were bringing niggas careers back like they had 808 life supports. Jay z was churning out his best material, Lupe Fiasco was churning out some of his best material, Kayne West was churring out some of his best material, 50 cent and Eminem, Jadakiss, J dilla, MF Doom dropped Doomsday and Madvilliany and paved the way for the underground and alt rap as a whole
