What the fuck is the deal with the production on saw 85-92? The bass is too loud on many of the tracks (including xtal) and there are obviously parts where the gain was too high and different tracks are competing for space. This would be forgivable if it was a demo, but since it was actually released on a legitimate label you'd think they would bring in a mixing engineer to fix those things

was it on a major? I thought SAW 85-92 was released on 2 record labels or something. Maybe I'm thinking of AB 1. A reluctance to spend a lot of money and a belief fear that it may not sell well combined with it being an early 90's release may explain that. Maybe not.

Also, kinda unrelated but Richard said on soundcloud he planned to re-release SAW 85-92 with bonus tracks. not sure if he said it will be remastered or not though.
