i like me some NWW although C93's instrumental material isn't my favorite of them

i like C93 the best when it's either Tibet making conceptually linked poetry with the excellent neo-folk as a soundtrack (as if it were a movie), with examples of this being The Inmost Light trilogy, Black Ships Ate The Sky, Sleep Has His House and Thunder Perfect Mind, among others i'm sure; or reading some of Ligotti's work with some creepy dark ambient over it, Like TDLT or IHASPFTW

well, Naked Lunch is very dark (body horror, pedophilia, among many other things) although it's generally played for pitch black comedy rather than horror

i'd recommend you The Consumer by Michael Gira, which is one of my favorite books of all time, a collection of extremely dark surreal horror short stories and prose poems. it's impressive how nauseating it can be considering that the whole thing is written in extremely minimalistic beige prose

I'd also recommend you the writings of Peter Sotos if you want to go to the absolute darkest corners of literature possible

check out literally everything by Kafka (The Trial and The Metamorphosis are personal favorites)

Lolita is fucking brilliant and rather dark as a psychological drama

you have all the classic dystopian classics like Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451 and 1984

a personal favorite of mine is J.G. Ballard, check out Crash and The Atrocity Exhibition

I started collecting MP3s in about 2001, and if I try to play any of the tracks I downloaded back then, even the stuff I grabbed at 320kbps, they just sound like crap. The bass is terrible, the midrange…well don’t get me started. Some of those albums have degraded down to 32 or even 16kbps. FLAC rips from the same period still sound great, even if they weren’t stored correctly, in a cool, dry place. Seriously, stick to FLAC, you may not be able to hear the difference now, but in a year or two, you’ll be glad you did.
