Not bad, just underwhelming compared to their previous releases

Its good background, and the first three tracks are goat.
Sadly the rest is egh.

the album is good btw

It's a fine, solid album but left and continues to leave a very temporary impression. Save for 'Dot Net,' which is in their Top 5 best songs, the album isn't too memorable with the songs not feeling very distinct from one another.

'Gloss Drop' felt like a cohesive mix of separate tracks, but many of the tracks just didn't have engaging palettes. Memorable, but not all the memories were good. In the end, these two albums are about equal.

And of course 'Mirrored' is their best effort. Total cash.

Anyway, this album isn't worth hating. It/Battles is fun :-)

The tone of the synths and guitar is terrible, it sounds like 49 minutes of goose calls. Compositionally it's no better or worse than Gloss Drop, it's basically the same shit, except it sounds like geese

The album is more like a jam session than actually written album material which I kinda like in a way.
