That record is shit
XXYYXX is shit
And I can only assume other artist similar to XXYYXX are also shit
Make a list of about 10 synonyms for the word "shit" and that describes my thought on this album and genre
Half you herd of "blank banshee"
>>69874019
I really didn't like this record when it got hyped
>>69874054
well as far as I can tell banshee has at least some recognizable amount of talent
fuck this guy was like 17 when he made this
i was a fucking dumbass when i was 17, i should just kill myself
>>69874136
are you still a dumbass?
>>69874148
kind of, imo
I love it. Some very nice remixes and use of sampling. I like how most of the vocals are barely/indecipherable, he knows when not to crowd the mix up and yeah, it's simple, but it works and it sets a proper mood that works for the whole album. There's some misses towards the end, but that's more the fault of the generic vocalists than the producer. Seen him a few times live and it was great, he gets the crowd jumping. Except that one time he showed up 30 minutes late, fuck that.
DUDE FL PRESETS LMAO
I do like some songs of his though. Luv u girl pt 2 especially. In case you missed the other hottest sensations of 2012 listen to clams casino, schlohmo, sun glitters, diamond messages, teebs.
how the fuck do you pronounce that?

shisshhkkwww

I haven't listened to it yet, so I gave it a chance
So far pretty good
I'm not pissing myself over it, but it's very atmospheric.
I don't get the hype though, it's a good Bandcamp-, or Soundcloud-core record, nice futurism vibes, but I've heard much better albums made by much younger people.

>I've heard much better albums made by much younger people
name THREE (3)
>>69874343
17? yeah thats pretty fucking young. Beastie Boys is the only one I'm even thinking of.
that said this thing is pretty crap so far
>>69874362
agreed it's pretty trash
But yeah the only other one I can think of is the first AnCo, Avey made that at 17 I believe
>>69874343
I can't name 3 at the moment, but one would surely be this:

One of my favourite black metal records after MurmuĆ¼re and Filosofem, and it was made by a 14 year-old Korean kid. (The 5th track is my favourite)
>>69874394
There's conflicting information about this guy, everything is pretty much word of mouth at this point.
That specific album was made in 2008 and he had been active since 2001, so unless he was making atmospheric dark music at age 7 it's complete bullshit
and actually this beastie boys album is awesome and way better than xxyyxx

so far I've only verified the singer as 16 or 17 I believe
sure is a lot of age verification going on today

Mike and Ivor from SOA (Ivor had taken over the drums for Simon towards the end of the band) formed a new band with Alec of The Untouchables singing and another Wilson High School kid, Chris Bald, on bass. They called themselves 'The Faith' and played their first show at H.B. Woodlawn High School in November '81.
Probably all about the same age and they all look young as shit, some even younger than the singer.
>>69874191
thanks for the recommends anon
>>69874444
I spoke with him and I can confirm he was 14 at that time, the album was only released in 2008, but recorded in 2001.
