>>69830422
very very very little

it will scuff, but it won't degrade and wear off like nitro. nitro is more like a paint, whereas polyurethane is actually a type of plastic resin that hardens and creates a very durable shell. you could take a 10 year old poly coated guitar and buff it and it would look brand new.

write more songs. you'll get better. but only write songs you give a shit about. don't write what you think other people want to hear or something that you think people will applaud you for. that disingenuous mindset leads to awful writing and the audience always has a BS meter on so we can tell

I also hate him. I found out about his channel a few weeks ago, subscribed for some days oout of some superficial curiosity and when he released a video called '9 unique gifts idea for guitarists' and I commented saying I didn't agree with some of the things he picked, such as buying a pick stapler, buying somebody lessons from a random local teacher and a shitty expensive portable power supply, instead of buying something like an actual good pedal, all he answered with was (sic) 'your a dipshit'.

I had it set to 1 octave down and I was playing bass with my gutiar
Now I know not to play bass with a pick because that shit its boring

>>69831169
It seems like it would be a good idea if you had a ton of credit cards and they weren't the thickness and material of something nobody would ever desire to use for a pick
>>
>>69830945
Something that sucks is the lyrics I want to write don't necessarily fit with the type of music I want to play. I scrapped the my first attempt and so far I have one verse written that I kinda like.

Lmao. I set it a bunch high so i can do that "speed up" thing at the end of war pigs. Mostly i just make crazy shit noise.. The pedal sweep can go from -4 to +4 octaves or something. Like pantera's "fucking hostile" or suicide note pt2
>>
>>69831263
Credit cards are shit for picks. They usually have two layers of transparent plastic in the front/back that falls apart when you begin playing.

The middle part is too soft/brittle, the material is awful.

$30 buys you 144 Dunlop Tortex picks. That stapler is stupid.
>>
>>69831301
>crushing on a qt trap
>Kill me senpai.

You're already dead inside
>>
>>69831335
Yeah that's what I'm saying.. even if you did have a ton of credit cards you didn't need for some reason, they'd never work as a pick. Every time i buy picks i get a bag, and I'd buy them anytime i bought anything else from anywhere that sold picks. I'd never run out and i stopped doing that like 4 years ago. If i did run out, it just take one from the pile of washing machine/dryer picks my wife has.

Reposting again just to see if I get any more opinions.

What's a cheaper alternative to the EVH 5150 III? Nothing over 50 watts. I might still get the EVH, but I just want to weigh my options and know if there is anything out there almost as good/as good but cheaper. I play Metal, but good cleans are desired if possible.

I don't want to get my tone from pedals.

Bassfag here, I'm meeting up with a potential band tomorrow and they play want to play indie stuff which is fine by me. I'm a funk/jazz electric bassist, so when going from something more demanding like jazz to a genre with less demandingness (for lack of a better term), what should I focus on doing more or less of?

As far as build quality goes it's mostly bullshit, they're all about the same, but you should know that in 2011-2012 Gibson used Baked Maple for their fretboards instead of rosewood. That's really the only thing to look out for, not necessarily bad or good, just different.

They make this shit with spare MIA parts lying around the factory and upcharge $1000. You're better off doing some type of partscaster.
Here's mine (Fender doesn't have 90% of the options I want)

just got a loop pedal and holy shit why did nobody tell me about this earlier? it's amazing
>>
>>69837938
I've owned a Bugera for ~5 years
>>
So I got a bunch of extra patch jack for my new pedalboard
and I decided to use one for a pedal I have in my FX loop but then depending on pedal order:
either nothing works, or volume is extremely low

(My FX Loop has a volume pedal, and a delay pedal)
With you average jack everything works fine.

Is it a normal behaviour?
>>
>>69840360
Did you try without the delay pedal? and yes, this is normal in some cases. What amp is it?

I had a dream I was in the future driving an Aston Martin, but it wouldn't speed up, just stuck at 20mph behind a red 2004 suzuki swift, then the robo voice in the car reminded me that all cars are restricted via computers and satellites and shit.
>>
>>69840458
I did not, as I need the pedal to come right under my foot, so I just used the patch to connect the two of them.

Nevertheless, that's a good point, I probably will try it just for the sake of knowing later)

Thanks for the answer

I have a Bugera V55;
Which leads me to another question, is it possible to put 6V6 instead of 6L6 in this amp? Even with the Infinium system?
Or can you remove a tube or something?

Last year it was the perfect volume for me, and now I feel like it's a bit too loud.

Yeah It's a good plan. I'd say it's definitely the volume pedal that's messing it up, but m,aybe not.

I'm more surprised that the amp doesn't have an effects level knob on send or return.

Best of luck m8

Classic vibes are the best for price 400 new and around 300 used.

I have a Squier Affinity Telecaster and the neck pickup was quiet till I just raised it a little which made it as loud as the other pickups. Tough it still sounds muddy but not to bad.

Monoprice Strats are cheaper too around 70 if you just want one to start out to see if you even like guitar.

I have the same tuner and I have a question:

Whenever I try to tune, the tuner always reads high as soon as I pluck, and then as the note dissipates, it reads lower and lower. This is most prevalent on the low E string.

Is this normal? If so, should I tune to what it reads when I first pick the string or to what it reads as it stabilizes?

Guitar noob here, thinking about getting my first floyd rose soon. Can string bends be effectively replaced by using the whammy bar? I only ask because I've heard bending strings on a floating trem will fuck everything up.
