Oh please. [r9k] is a small yet defining ingredient that makes 4chan, 4chan. Where else will people announce the next school shooting? it would just get lost in the crowd on /b/ or /pol/.
As for /mlp/, I think their the main entity that is propping up the remnants of that fandom, so they're important in that aspect.
/mu/ has nothing going for it anymore. Even Fantano doesn't reference us anymore outside of Meme Reviews. People only come here for the sharethreads, kpop waifus, and to spout our """"""""memes"""""""". All serious music discussion gets tl;dr-ed and is drowned out by sub-par shitposting.
