my grandfather passed away peacefully in his sleep early this morning from pneumonia. i don't know what to feel like and i can't even cry. i never really knew him properly, and the past 10 years or so his dementia gradually worsened to the point where he didn't even know who i was when i last saw him. in his mind i was still 11 years old or something.

my mum and i were driving to pick up some christmas food and my dad had gone a separate way earlier to get the turkey from the butcher. we passed him on a main road on the opposite side; he had pulled over and was sat on the hood just staring at the trees in the distance. i phoned him immediately while we were still driving, thinking he had broken down, and he just broke into tears on the other end of the phone.

i just don't know man. it's weird because obviously everyone was talking about death yesterday on bleep and the whole time i had an eerie, pervasive feeling that something bad was going to happen. when i got back home earlier and had a one-to-one with my dad he said the same thing. he's watching some property development programme on tv now while i listen to vs and read. we still haven't said much to each other really but i suppose we didn't really need to.

In sorry to hear that. I want you to know you're not alone, something very similar happened to me this year when my grandfather died. My dad took it really hard bc he hadn't seen him in ages either, it didn't affect me desu I can't even remember what he was like. I think the worst part was the feeling that you could have done more, you could have said more, so it might be best to let your dad know that there's no use dwelling on these things, while not pressuring him to feel or act a certain way. Everyone is different and for some it may take longer than others. As for grieving you have to find your own way.

i will say that there's a limit to your love has some serious, serious weight to it when it's just the sub and drums, but the vocals and piano ruin any potential it had as a dubstep track imo.

the untold remix is the one i see people praising most often, but i find it to be way too light. the sub on it is weak, and the synths are obnoxious. i just don't get the appeal.

the other two tracks aren't dubstep. i don't care what anyone says - they categorically do not possess any of the elements that define dubstep. just because he sampled mala doesn't mean it's dubstep.
