Productionwise pretty sloppy, practice making beats a bit more. I'm only at the second track, so if I hear something worth mentioning I'll write.
The guitar is a nice touch, but the bass drums should be a bit louder and everything else (espedcially the harsh highs) lower.

Anyway, here's a question to keep it alive:

I listened to Virtual Dream in full and I really liked it! I love the atmospheres and how you blend synths with vaporwave. My favourite track is "â•Childhood╯", I really dig the synths you used. "Shopping Online" reminds me of Super Mario Sunshine for some reason. The last two tracks are really relaxing . Solid album overall! I shared it on my Twitter because it's just so cool.
>>69778699
Nice album, the synths are great and it doesn't sound cliché like most synthwave out there these days. My favourite tracks are "Desert Sunset", specially near the end, and "Climax". I like it when the synths start at 1:00, initially I thought the whole track was going to be sax but the way you introduced the synths was really nice. Also the cover art is amazing!
>>69780364
I loved your album "2". My favourite track is "Sea", I like the atmosphere it creates, it sounds kinda sad. I really dig "Space Vampires" (there's something off about the main synth line though) and "Hyperspeed" too. I shared your album too because I really enjoyed it.

>>69785422
Very ambient. Interesting production, kind of reminds me of schlomo desu. I'm sure you meant the synth to be out of tune around 1:15, but that's one part I think would benefit from a similar synth tone but less atonal. Overall, bretty gud but I'm not familiar enough with electronic music to give proper feedback. I'm the Reptilian Math rock song guy.
>>69791426
I like the atmosphere here, you get a sense of something heavy creeping up on you and then the technical playing starts. It's not really my sort of stuff (specifically the vocals) but the drumming is pretty tight.
>>69795501
Also, for the second guy I like the post rock part at the end a lot.

>Have you ever played live?
not as Yamir, no.
>Can you imagine yourself playing live gigs?
i have played live before and it went very well for the most part, so i could definitely see myself playing live in the future. don't know if that would translate well with the kind of music I make now, but I think there's an audience for it here.
>How would it differ from what you're doing in the studio/bedroom?
well i'd be limited to a few songs (probably only like the ambient guitar ones that i won't need to do much besides strum around and play some sounds in a laptop) but i think the only difference would be looping everything perfectly in real time. if you have listened to any of my music you'll know i am extremely bad at getting everything in sync (I have gotten better at it, you'll see in my new song DEC25) so i think that would probably be my biggest challenge.
>>69785503
underrated, lovely noisy ambient
>>69786610
i'm very all over the place when it comes to politics.
>>69791629
Solitude is nice. don't know about Arcade, but i like to stay away from vaporwave so it's probably best i don't give feedback about that genre.
Does anybody have a quick guide/advice on how to record guitar/vocals in good quality? I have a pretty good microphone, but I'm not too sure about how to go about setting up a recording area.
>>69803177
for guitar, usually just placing your microphone in front of the amplifier (close but not to the point where they touch, unless your amplifier is shit and very quiet) will do. don't forget to turn off anything that could make a background noise, i.e. fans or a loud computer. for vocals, i don't know much about that. you could go inside your closet and put the microphone inside a pillow fort, which should work nicely enough. personally, i just record in front of my computer with a condenser and that's it, i get very little background noise but i don't mind it.
if you wanna do both at the same time, i don't think it's a good idea unless you're on an acoustic guitar. i don't know much about this, so wait for some other nerd to drop by.
>>69777755 here
>>69785431
>Have you ever played live?
+50-60 shows BUT not playing my music, only as a stand-in or with a band (mostly death/technical metal).
>Can you imagine yourself playing live gigs?
Playing my own stuff seems weird (bcs most of it is utter shit), so no for me!
