Fuck off
I recently got into cassettes. It's fun recording modern music to tape. Currently using my dad's Denon deck but I hope to find one for myself at a thrift store. I'm also looking for a Walkman, mostly out of interest, I don't think I'll use it much.
ive also recently really gotten into cassettes, the only one that i have purchased tho is preoccupatoins - s/t. its so hard to find placess that sell ones that arent classical music, especially in australia. what player should i get for when i expand my cassette collection?

I'm not an expert but as far as I know Nakamichi is the best, but also the most expensive. Aiwa and Sony are great too.
Also only get a double deck if you want to copy tapes, which you probably don't. Single decks are generally better.

thanks, what should i get as a portable driver, same as OP or is there something you recommend? also how should i go about making bootlegs?

OP here, I repair and resell old players. You could get an A+ player off ebay, and just slap new drive bands in it to make it good as new in just a few minutes.

Shop Japanese. Sony, Panasonic, Sanyo- early 80's if possible. Ebay usually has nice players for cheap, although most will need a little TLC.

damn, that's a pretty impressive collection you have senpai, do you mind if i ask how much money you've invested into cassettes?

Are you selling on eBay? I have the Walkman FX141 from the mid 90's and it functions fine, but it'd be great to know who sells a good replacement.

Sony DD line is the best afaik. Other than those, like >>69776322 says. Try to keep the extra features limited.

Quite a bit. However, everything here but the two Sanyo players is going to be sold. My current collection is as follows:
Sanyo M4430 (Big White)
Sanyo M-GR62
Wollensak 4460
Fischer CR-W47

Hey, that player seems pretty familiar.
I'm not set up on eBay yet, but I will be within the next few days. I suggest getting a player from the early 80s off ebay. Any early Sony, Aiwa, Panasonic, or Sanyo player will sound fantastic.

I use cassettes cause my cars from the 90's. Its easier to slip in a whole album in then use the tape to AUX

You know if those USB cassette converters are any good as a walkman alternative? They don't cost too many euros.
