Avantegarde Music (the record label, not the genre lol) has tons of European artists from outside of Norway. It's all good stuff, all black and atmospheric. A lot of it is pretty unique. Check out:
>Mesarthim
>N.K.V.D.
>Earth and Pillars
>Progenie Terrestre Pura
Those are all relatively newer and not as obvious. But that label also has Darkspace, Selvans, Downfall of Nur, the later two putting out an excellent split recently.

How would we listen to music if all electricity was gone and not coming back? We can't listen to anything digitally. I know someone thought "oh shit looks like you'll have to go outside and actually see it performed" but if electricity was gone there wouldn't be away to see any metal live because of electric guitars and distortion everything would have to be acoustic. Leaving the question of could we enjoy any metal recordings in this dystopian future. I think we could but we could only listen to these sacred recordings on vinyl and not even on a standard turn table we'd have to use an old fashioned Gramophone.

Than thrash? I doubt it. Even thrash has some technical bands that sort of redeem the genre. But then I haven't heard much glam tbf.

its communicates the exact same thing in far simpler terms not to mention less misleading since the tremolo bar is right there whether or not that itself is a misnomer.

describing black metal is the first time I'd ever in my life heard that term and as was just conceded is an admittedly pretentious aesthetic.

but by all means I'd be happy to go find old dick dale interviews which I'd be surprised since I saw him play probably before you were born which was far after I started playing guitar

>its communicates the exact same thing in far simpler terms
Speed picking is just fast picking, as the name implies. Tremolo is a specific musical effect wherein a single note is repeated. This can be extended to a phrase of notes, but the point is that each note is played more than once rapidly. This is distinct from say, a sequence of single notes played quickly with a pick. Which would also be speed picking.

And I don't give a fuck how old you are or what Dick Dale thinks. I can dig up countless mandolin players who say tremolo, because that's what they're doing.
>>
>>69751881
Try again
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxcKGOQflBI

PS-Chuck was influenced by Possessed.
>>
>>69754431
actually if its a sequence of notes without one single pick repetition then the picking actually isn't going to be inordinately fast although yes quick and of course when the sequence becomes incredibly fast then there's literally no picking at all and becomes sweep "picking" which is actually strumming.

besides, the term tremolo is simply used as an alternate to speed/fast picking. Its not used in conjunction. Its a pretentious alternate term.
