I'm not a huge fan of Pushit. It sounds more like a jamming session than a fully fleshed out song. Stinkfist, Eulogy and H. are probably their 3 best songs and thus a super powerful opening to the album.

I never liked this one as much. It's by far their most linear and conventional song. Lateralus is supposed to be their magnum opus but I never was a huge fan of that song either.

I can see what you're saying about Pushit. It would be better if it was shorter. And maybe I did rank The Patient high, but the lyrics are a step up compared to the other tracks on Lateralus. Maynard's vocal delivery is good here too. Lateralus in general (the album) is crazy instrumentally, but brings the pretentiousness on Aenima to a whole other level. The song is way too overhyped as well.

Why don't you like The Pot then? It has Maynard's probably best vocal delivery. It's a relatively similar song to The Patient. I didn't like it first either but it really grew on me. It's a very thoughtout song unlike tracks such as Third Eye or Pushit.

Not too big on The Pot because of the poor word salad and the fact that it really doesn't offer anything too interesting besides the high schtick. The fact that it's sandwiched between the two longest tracks on the record (if you combine keys and rosetta) makes it sorta forgettable. the Patient is a lot more clear in concept and Maynard's word choice is relatively interesting.

APC isn't too bad, pretty harmless. Puscifier I've only heard Green Valley, and I liked it. Also heard the band is mostly for joke purposes, but I'll listen to Conditions Of My Parole anyway eventually.
