A lot of of artists recently (i.e. Chance, Danny Brown, even Vernon) have released god-tier albums that were more experimental in nature and worked. Gambino tried to ride that bandwagon and the entire album came off as tryhard

Childish Gambino's albums have always been mediocre at best desu. The singles were nice, but the rest of the album was subpar
