I just can't get into grimes.. She's a bit too simple. I don't mind watered down music structure/song lyrics for pop formula, but with her it's just too watered down.

To be honest the song you recommended just sounds like her singing over an adventure time interlude song in falsetto. Lyrically it lacks depth. I just don't see it as anything other than simple electronica for people to enjoy. There's nothing wrong with that, but it's clearly shallow. I don't know why /mu/ likes it so much. At least when /mu/ was creaming their jeans over Jeff Mangum there was a bit of emotional sincerity that gave the meme album a good reason to give it a listen. Honestly, Grimes is another artist memed into /mu/'s brain.
