Because LCW perfected and expanded upon what was done on Long Drive.

LCW has everything that worked well; the energy, raw nature, jamming, the opportunity to dance, but plugs it all into more complex and interesting song structures with unmatched lyricism. C'mon, LCW beats just about any album for its lyrics alone.
Don't get me wrong, I adore Long Drive with it being a strong 9.5/10, but LCW is the perfect sequel. The grooves are tighter and jam play-outs are cleaner with more variety and layering. Plus, LCW has the *perfect* opener and closer.

Very shallow answer but LCW is my GoaT and i'm distracted with listening to it, now. Golly I miss when these folks were worth a damn.
