I posted a thread a few days ago asking about turn table recommendations and I decided on pic related.

What are some mid-range speakers I can get to go along with the turntable? My parents aren't audiophiles, but I want to get a solid set of speakers that'll last.

I'm not trying to be mean, but there is absolutely nothing that seperates that piece of shit from a Crosley. You should return that and get something with a counterweight.
>>
>>69709683
It does have a counter-weight
>>
>>69709683
Nope, my mistake it doesn't.
>>
>>69709718
The AT LP-60 does not have a counterweight

If you are talking about buying "a solid set of speakers that will last", you should get a turntable that isn't a giant piece of disposable shit that destroys records first. Seriously.
>>
>>69709837
Would the LP120 be a worthwhile investment?
>>
>>69709870
It would be a good start.
There is a good beginners guide here:

Also, this board is the last place you should be looking to for advice about anything other than memes and using music as a fashion accessory.
Reddit has some pretty simple beginner's guides, and Vinyl Engine is one of the best sites for vinyl stuff.

You are a first-class moron if you actually put that kind of posturing ahead of actual information.

r/vinyl is actually good and I always recommend it to anyone whos getting into collecting records. You are literally autistic if you won't use a place with valuable information because fucking 4chan won't think your cool.

Keep on spouting those memes, assclown.
>>
>>69710294

OP here.
Thanks to the people who pointed me in the right direction instead of arguing over reddit like a bunch of fags.

Holy shit. A real-life meme.
I bet you carve "9gag sux!" Into your homeroom desk.

Dude's right. Reddit blows Chins away when it comes to hi-fi information. Just a fact.

Anyhow, as others have said, if it's not too late, it would be best to exchange that table and put the cash toward an ATLP120 or something on the used market.

Also assuming you have an amp/receiver to power speakers?

As for speakers, these are all the rage right now for passives.

For actives/powered (in which case you won't need an amp, but you will need a preamp to hook your components into), these can't be beat their price point:

Also worth considering is the size of the room and the distance at which you'll be listening. If it's a rather large room and the listening distance is more than 6 feet, floorstanders (or monitors plus a sub) is typically the way to go.

Haven't even bought it yet, but glad I didn't.

Just stop, dude. You're embarassing yourself.
