Can we have a discussion on the importance of aesthetics in music? Personally I hate it, "punk" bands getting dressed up before a show. I have a friend who is heavily influenced by Death Grips but will spend hours primping before he plays live, it aggravates the shit out of me.
>be me
>play in band that receives national radio play and opens for big international acts
>wear the same clothes on stage that i wear day to day

See that's what I'm talking about, I like that shit.
I thought this was going to be about sonic aesthetics.
It all depends on why they're dressing like that. If it meshes well with their general aesthetic and isn't just for fashion it can be really cool and make the experience of seeing them live much more cohesive.

aesthetics aren't just limited to visuals, you know?
that's why we talk about "musical styles"
Why do you care?
being against people dressing up to play music makes you just as superficial.

not an argument

Neither was yours, nihilistic/confrontational anon.

It's not edgy. Why do you want them not to care about image when you clearly do?

yes it was. if you care about what other people wear, it's no different from some fashion victim doting over their outfit. it's hypocrisy on your part.
