I agree, I still listen to that album occasionally. Unit 317 is one of the best modern Slayer songs.
>>69675018
Oh hell yeah, that is their best since the glory days. I'm so fuckin sick of seeing
>hurr everything they did lately sucks
when most of these faggots probably haven't even listened to any of the recent albums. You can not be a fan of Slayer and not like that album, its complete retardation, that shit is everything good about the band.
>>69675499
My only problem with it is the mastering. It's not horrible but could have been better. Overall, it's an enjoyable album.
New age thrash
anything not by slayer, metallica, megadeth, or anthrax
ACTION
YOU'RE THE MAIN ATTRACTION
TORTURE, MISERY ENDLESS SUFFERING
>>69675058
This looks tight
Eruption - Tenses Collide
>>69675018
This is my favorite Slayer record from the 2000's. World Painted Blood, Psychopathy Red, Playing With Dolls, Unit 731, Snuff and Beauty Through Order are fucking killer.
Also:
>A band that could've kicked Anthrax's ass outta the Big 4 had they have the right circumstances
what's her name, /mu/
I just got into Megadeth like last week. What are some albums for someone that really likes Rust in Peace
>>69675690
>>69675602
I'm this guy. This is really good. Thanks.
>>69675690
Peace Sells is the best album and anyone who tells you otherwise is a fucking faggot. Peace Sells is the greatest thrash album of all time.

Listen to Killing Is My Business? Peace Sells, Countdown To Extinction and if you wanna listen to Youthanasia, set you player to 1.25x speed. After that you can listen to United Abominations, Endgame and Dystopia. Cryptic Writings is also good but not that thrashy.
Also, if you liked that Death Angel record, listen to Killing Season and Relentless Retribution.
>play heavy metal for years
>good guitar player and good at writing riffs and things but just never really get things rolling with a band due to unfortunate circumstances/unreliable people
>frustrated that the songs I record by myself never really come out as I imagined them
>start experimenting with electronic music since you can do it 'right' just by yourself
>enjoy making it and learning about production
>years later I make electronic music every day and almost all of the new music I listen to is electronic
>I fucking hate almost all of it
>spend hours straight trying to find anyone making music that is interesting and good
>you can have one or the other but not both
>everyone in every electronic scene is a complete faggot
>the more I hear the more uninspired I get
>come to one thrash metal thread
>FUCK YEAH FUCKIN METAL FOR LIFE NIGGA
This shit can't be explained to those tryhard faggots. Just fuckin rock that shit. Fuck if I give a fucking fuck if you reversed and resampled the sound of a goat chewing on a fork to make your shitty fuckin bass sound, it sounds like fucking shit. Fuck everyone who makes electronic music. Thrash metal bitches, all day err day.
>>69675883
Oh yeah I'm definitely digging into more Megadeth. I just figured while there was a thrash thread up on /mu/ I may as well ask for other recs. I'm pretty well versed in punk and metal so I've been really amazed that I've somehow heard almost no thrash at all. It's such a nice combination of punk energy and metal guitar wank, I'm kicking myself for not listening to this shit when I was like 15.
>>69675950
If you don't listen to peace sells I'm going to come to your house and fuck you in your face
>>69675914
idk man electronic music can be pretty wild shit. you might just be jaded right now.
like this is good shit.

I'll put it on right now ;-)
>>69675950
Yeah, early thrash has that punk influence more embedded. Like Show No Mercy, Bo need By Blood, and the Teutonic thrash has a lot in common with the hardcore punk vibe.
>>69675972
Oh fuck. It's better than Rust in Peace.
Thrash metal
More like trash metal
But then you wouldn't be able to differentiate it from the rest of metal since it's all trash
Nevermind carry on thread
>>69675982
I was getting into hardcore for a while but it all sounds the same, I made one song that was kind of like hardcore but with more interesting composition and a few things done differently to make it less generic, I posted it on a hardcore board and even when I explained what I was doing they just couldn't wrap their fuckin E-fried brains around it. Like there was one part where the drum pattern went from regular beat to triplets and some dude was obsessing over how it sounds 'wrong' because it was too hard to follow. That is babby shit for a metal fan, fucks sake. He decided that it was OK after I explained it to him, but the fact it was so hard for him to comprehend something so simple was quite disheartening. Other than that some people liked it but were just autisming out over which obscure subgenre it should be classified as even though it didn't really sound like any of them, and I was getting the impression that whether they liked it or not was entirely dependent on which subgenre they decided it was, rather than just listening to it and seeing if they respond to it in some way.
Yes I am very jaded.
Got any more shit with sick drums?
>>69676088
Thanks for the bump friend, nice doggo btw ^_^
>>69676068
Rust in Peace has a few of the classic tracks, like Holy Wars is probably my favourite, but Peace Sells is nothing but classic tracks, every single song on that album is the shit.
>>69676158
I have lots more shit with sick drums.

not as crazy on the drums but i think you'd probably like current value
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1V1xIcH3iO8
I'm about to go to sleep so i'm not gonna dig up anymore youtube links but if you haven't already, dig into breakcore there's a lot of crazy stuff around.
>>69676251
last thing. make sure you listen to that second track at a very high volume it doesn't make sense otherwise. I hope you find some people to do music with though man. It can be rough sometimes.
>>69676270
sweet thanks for that man, I'll have a look through some of that sort of stuff tonight.
>>69675673
Hmm Possibly some of Electric Citizen's early stuff?
>>69675728
This. Only faggots think other wise.
Sodom is
>criminally underrated thrash
the band
far exceeding anyone *ANYONE* in terms of raw energy in their riffs
>>69678497
Demolition Hammer - Necrology (demo but golden one)
Very very good
>>69675673
Overkill, obviously
This motherfucker right here
Their motto is literally
>heavy metal at the speed of satan
And their album costs $6.66 of bandcamp. What a funny bunch
