no. anything that's intentionally lo-fi will still sound lo-fi on good headphones. there's no advantage to using shit
>>
>>69668136
this and some lo fi like GBV

So what about>>69668136?

idk about headphones but I know that a lot of the songs I hear on the radio sound better in my car than with my headphones. it happens with a wide variety of music. most recently some janet jackson sounded better in my car

I think I already answered that question
>>
>>69669134
I highly doubt that. Anything poorly mixed or mastered is gonna sounds like ass and I think that's key to lo fi.

Most modern music, since it's basically mixed for earbuds and smartphone/laptop speakers in mind.

Listen to this same shit on a decent playback system, and your ears get raped by dynamic compression.

Why is this anyway? Doesn't effect me but it must such between choosing shit or choosing good stuff but it will sound like shit. Are there any exceptions to this?
>>
I went straight from poorfag headphones to HD800s and poorly mastered music arguably sounds better with poorfag headphones. To be more accurate, it doesn't sound 'better', but rather its harder to hear the shitty parts that you'll hear on better, more transparent headphones. Examples would be the original master of TOTBLs and No Closer to Heaven.
