For me, they were a one-and-done type thing. It was interesting to listen to their discography once or twice, but there isn't much depth to the lyrics or production. And maybe industrial just isn't my cup of tea, but I could never spontaneously listen to a Death Grips album, it feels like I've gotta force myself to do it.

To be completely honest I consider death grips to be my entry into more commercial sounds.
I mean the first time I listened to them I thought that they were just dubstep with added rapping and even went so far as asking my sister(who only listens to top 40 schlock) if she knew who they were because I thought that they were a popular commercial group. It honestly confuses me how people can find their sound to be either confusing or noisy, to me it just sounds like cool electronic sounds and nothing more.
