Am I the only one who gives a shit?

I really enjoyed the title track, is it worth buying?
>>69612843
I'd say so. The songs are all smart and funny. Monsanto Years was too much, I thought. These are good, loose folk tunes.
starting now
when does it get good?

5 seconds in, or once you whip out the lyric sheet.

I think the first half if a lot stronger than the second half but it's overall pretty solid.I could have done without Texas Rangers and the back half of My New Robot though...I like weird, but it is a little too weird for my tastes.

I like Texas Rangers, though the way it's syncopated funny kind of obscures it. I can sort of see why you and some reviews are getting weird vibes, I think Neil's sense of humor is a bit hard to understand sometimes. The last three songs are funny to me, I think he's basically making fun of himself.

I went to my friend's house party last night and him and his band played a bunch of Neil Young.
It was pretty fuckin solid, I went home fucking smiling the whole time.
How do I into Neil Young?
some of these songs are kinda buggin
I'm on My Pledge right now

He should tour with Sun Kil Moon

If you want fuzzed out southern-y rawk : Ragged Glory, Everybody Knows This is Nowhere
If you want tender country-ish folk:
Harvest, Harvest Moon
>>69613345
Everybody Knows This is Nowhere and Rust Never Sleeps are good electric albums, and After the Gold Rush is a great softer/piano-oriented one. But most stuff he did in the '70s, you really can't miss no matter what you pick. His '90s stuff (e.g. Ragged Glory, Sleeps with Angels) is more noisy and sounds similar to the alt-rock he inspired, if you prefer that.

He's always been fascinated/amused with that kind of stuff since Trans.
