Just kidding, sort of. But what did you enjoy about TLOP so much that it's your AOTY? I found it really unorganized and had a lot of filler tracks. No More Parties in LA is SOTY though.

If you're willing, check out The Campfire Headphase. Nothing really too weird about that album, and they use acoustic guitars and real drum kits. If you like Helios you'd probably like it.

It's still a respectable choice. I just got the vinyl bundle in the mail the other day, super happy!
Time spent with an album can definitely boost its appearance on the list. I hopped on the TV Girl train when 'Cares' was released, so that has served as my base-line and remains my favorite. The second half of it seals the deal for me.
