the overproduction of art angels is shit: it obviously lowers her diverse influences & ruins any subtlety: I was really surprised that Grimes fell for that.
I don't mind about mainstream pop when artist are able to maintain integrity, personality & creativity. And this isn't the case for Grimes anymore. IMHO

What you call overproduction, I call detailed production. There's a lot of attention to detail on this album. Despite of many layers of sounds, the songs don't sound crowded, but very clear and precise. Her voice in particular was overproduced before, hidden under tons of effects.

How? This album is her most diverse by far. Her previous albums had a certain mood, AA is all over the place.
