>>69572155
thanks for the encouragement but unfortunately the market is a bit oversaturated with whiny sadboy shit set to fingerpicked acoustics.

Did this yesterday. Is it very bad?
>>69572001
I was genuinely not expecting this to be good and was pleasantly surprised. Usually music like this bores me but you're a great guitarist and you give it a folksy sorta hobble that makes me feel like a kid again.
>>69574204
I think it could use more low end stuff to tie it down. It's so airy that I can almost feel it floating away from me.

This feels like NMH mixed with Anunkindness + a bunch of 7 and sus chords and that.
It's nice, i just can't hear what you're singing.
hi mu, pls r8 my vocals of under the bridge
http://vocaroo.com/i/s0AyHDrVqPXC
>>69579162
Yeah my microphone's terrible so the vocals just get drowned by the guitar, but thanks anyway.
>>69579223
Nice playing. Your singing is pretty good if you're a beginner. I rec pranayama for first-rate breath control that not even professional opera singers have.

Here's some gay shit
My black metal shriek. Looking for a band.

>>69579932
Hey that's beautiful! Did you record that? Have you got a soundcloud/bandcamp?
>>69579932
I like the singing and the vocal melody.
I was expecting you to sing
"Ice cube down my shirt,
I can't pretend that i won't hurt"
The time feels weird with the guitar, I can't tell if its intentional but it's kind of cool.
Like a female Elliott Smith almost.
Do you put your stuff anywhere else?
>>69579977
>>69580017
Thanks. I don't upload music anywhere else, sometimes make songs for /mu/ albums though

Never heard him before now, his animal collective covers are pretty cool
>>69580158
It's probably be regular punk if I could afford the equipment.
>>69580310
He often posts here.
I don't like that version of Peacekeeper, try this one https://soundcloud.com/alexander-robichaud/peacekeeper-v-2

Original coming through
opinions wanted.
>>69580364
No problem. Just be a folk punk and you'll never have to afford the equipment.
That is until you get big and sign to a label and can afford better equipment.
Pro: You achieve a larger fanbase
Con: Much of your original fanbase will claim you "sold out"
>>69580446
I mean I love folk punk. The last show I played somebody described me as "emo They might be giants" and I'm into that. I have another song in this thread, >>69574162
>>69580503
Cool shit.
You got talent and potential. Good luck.

I like it, really Crywanky in a good way, very simple fingerpicking, but it's not bad at all.
Some acoustic-by-necessity emo shit, I've been described by a friend as "someone trying way too hard to be Evan Weiss."
http://vocaroo.com/i/s1CuQZO8xrbX
>>69582178
Yeah I improvised it so i didn't really wanna complicate the guitar work to fuck up my brain.
If i ever record it higher quality the finger picking would probably be more intricate.
Also thanks.
>>69569688
i needed something to do today
>>69582200
Cool I like it.
Is this guitar tuned down? It has a banjo kind of sound to it that you usually get when you tune a guitar down.
I feel like maybe some evolution in the arrangements as it moves closer to the end would be nice.
I mean if you like added some strings playing chords or such when it gets closer to the middle, as right now it feels slightly one note.
I do like the sounds coming in towards the end though.
Nice overall matey
>>69569688
roll for limp bizkit
>>69582314
Hey thanks. It's a nylon string tuned to EAEG#BE and yeah, I've definitely been looking into making the instrumentation more lively/varied on any new stuff I'll be working on, can't just punctuate everything with a toy piano forever.
>>69571507
>>69569688
whoooo
>>69582454
cool.
I want a toy piano myself.

cover of das rad - circles
Pinegrove cover. Nowhere near as good of a singer as Evan, but I figured I'd give it a shot.
http://vocaroo.com/i/s0c7bFFl4FgI
>>69582200
not bad, the Evan comparison was kinda too on-point though, the riff repeating thing is really Shaking of Leaves
>>69582686
Good ass cover, do you have an actual project or something I could check out?
>>69583295
Thanks, I appreciate it. I only really play covers for fun, nothing super serious at the moment.

Just ignore the bad guitar and balancing. Want feedback on the vocals before I put more into it
>>69587960
Should have finished, it was excellent. There's little to change. I'd say keep a clear mental picture of the melody as you sing and let the voice follow it.
>>69580420
Like it quite a bit
>>69588084
Thanks, I can't sing with my full voice atm (to be polite to my neighbors at this hour) so my pitch was off more than I would like. But, I don't really intend to go much stronger than it is.
