Alive 2007 unseated another live album, to become my favorite live album. I was an early viewer of the coachella youtube uploads, and I couldn't believe how the mashup set actually /redeemed/ the lackluster Human After All stuff, using it as filler and giving it positive association with the rest of their material.

Even better yet, the standout track/progression of "too long/steam machine" /was not present in these early uploads/, so that was like the cherry on top that justified actually purchasing the album. Fucking great encore as well. My point is that I have a sense of having "participated" in this campaign.

But I've gotten carried away. I mentioned that before this, I actually had another favorite live album. That album is Everything, Everything by Underworld. Karl's singing gets a bit stilted and silly at times, but it was just so /cool/, like slam poetry about the world, or something. I have a mind to put it on now.
