Not really. There is good and bad prog rock, just like any genre. Writing off a whole genre as bad is childish and pedestrian.

Every genre has good and bad and only plebs dismiss entire ones.

Also prog is a top contender for greatest genres of all time when you look at the albums that have come from it. Modern prog is non existent/trash but it's done enough.
