why do people listen to nirvana instead of thhe meat puppets?
most of the people I know don't even know who they are, and they like nirvana
You answered your own question
Is the only other Meat Puppets album comparable in quality to that album Up on the Sun?

Probably, but I have such a fucking boner for Golden Lies you can't imagine.

I would argue that Huevos is pretty great as well

Because they're not really similar sounding at all.

Probably, but their other albums are still worth exploring.
I think Monsters or Mirage is their 3rd best
there are benefits to listening to music for the reason that it is more popular. for instance, you can discuss it with your friends and not face social isolation.

I tried listening to those but I honestly can't stand the production. The 80s ones that followed Up on the Sun are way too echoey. It just doesn't mesh well with the type of music they make. I miss the punchlines of the drums and bass. I don't know what the hell happened that prevented them from getting good production similar to II and Up on the Sun ever again.

Because they don't really have anything in common aside from the three songs Nirvana covered and Nirvana are more popular.

>tfw Kurt's taste in music influenced a fairly large portion of my own despite me not listening to Nirvana that much

same, it's how I got into punk and noise rock
