This is infinitely superior to Velocity, what gives?

Ehhh, I'm not so sure. The songs are more conventionally structured, so I think that there are a lot of hits on here that are just great, but it doesn't have the production quality and grandiose, full sound that Velocity has. He uses an electronic drum kit throughout to simulate an acoustic kit, which doesn't actually sound that bad, but it's noticeable, and the electric guitar tones are decent, not great. I miss the insane amount of automated effects he did with Velocity though, there weren't that many crazy passages to find on YWNKW,. But I do love the songs for themselves, beautiful stuff still and there are some catchy ass moments. Super fun.

So I'd probably say they're equal. While there aren't that many songs I go back to on Velocity as compared to YWNKW, the songs that I do actuall go back to, FUCK. They're so god damn amazing. YWNKW individual songs doesn't strike me like Velocity's individual songs
