I agree that 50m + is way too much for most albums that follow any kind of pop songwriting structure (whether that be straight pop, hip-hop or many rock subgenres)

But anything more 'experimental' or 'progressive' (both horrible terms I know but I don't know how else to describe what I'm getting at) it doesn't seem too long at all. I mean using some basic af examples I don't find MHTRTC or Skinny Fists to be overly long for what they are. But if say the Blue Album was 70 minutes long I'd probably be bored for the last half hour

it triggers my autism. 50-65 minutes is the shittiest length for an album.
65-90 is fine again.

It's not album length that does it, it's track number. Super long albums with few tracks are usually great, but there isn't one album with >12 tracks that hasn't had some filler in it.
