Mass Effect 3 could have been remarkably better if there was some actual emotional depth. Shepard should have been absolutely fucking overwhelmed with having the whole known galaxy looking at you for their survival.

But no, beyond a few dreams, nothing. Full blown PTSD Shepard would have been a cool character development.

Elder Scrolls doesn't have a soundtrack, it has a score.

Skyrim has a better soundtrack than Morrowind. The Nordic tavern music is great and there are some lovely atmospheric exploration tunes. I don't really care for the battle music in Morrowind, in fact I would go as far to say it's pretty weak. Morrowind also suffers from being very short for a soundtrack. Gets repetitive very fast.

Still a very good soundtrack though of course, possibly the best title theme in TES.

GTA V also has a very, very underrated score. The original music is absolutely excellent, Tangerine Dream more than lived up to expectations. The radio soundtrack is a bit patchy however.

It's just so good. The thing that most video game soundtracks/scores lack is proper application of the music. It's the same with movies I feel. In my opinion, Lord of the Rings and Halo have the best application of music in both their respective mediums of entertainment.
