Post albums with an obvious worst track
>>69451121
Seen and Not Seen. You're right.
california hurt to listen to
>>69451265
This one's not so obvious...
...Is it 'Girls Love Me'?
>>69451287
its Blackstar
>>69451303
No fucking way Blackstar is the worst track.
>>69451303
That's the best though
>>69451142
I actually am fine listening to it when the album is on
>>69451330
>>69451328
lol just joking
there definitely isn't an obvious worst track imo
>>69451326
but there are no bad songs anon
>>69451265
Sue in a Season fo sho
>>69451142
True. Still nice.
>>69451326
somebody's calling me and drunk girls are pleb filters
>>69451339
>>69451351
Well, the album is a 10.
>>69451260
entire album is pretty hard to get through desu
>>69451346
What's bad on OK Computer?
>>69451121
Hmm?
Discovery
>>69451530
Come on, Too Long really isn't that bad lol
It's just...too fucking long.
>>69451483
That would be So Appalled
>>69451121
>>69451588
Ween is one of those bands where the bad songs are still good IMO.
>>69451530
High Life? Nightvision?
Even then, those songs are promising, they just go nowhere
>>69451527
Shadow of Tomorrow.
>>69451483
So Appealed
>>69451473
what is electioneering
>>69451609
High Life I can understand (though I still like it), but Nightvision is more of an interlude
>>69451548
Wait, is Too Long really considered the worst? I love Too Long...
I'd say the worst on Discovery is Digital Love. It's just so overwhelmingly cheesy, it's like Drunk Girls on This is Happening
>>69451588
Good one. Doesn't even need to be said.
>>69451620
I've always been the weirdo that thinks Electioneering is one of the best on the album
>>69451548
>>69451609
It was definitely Nightvision. High Life starts off so strong but there's no purpose for Nightvision other than the album's narrative IMO
>>69451121
no worst tracks on remain in light OP
>>69451643
Oh wow, I've yet to hear anyone say anything nice about Too Long on /mu/ until now, honestly. lol
>>69451647
I like Nightvision in that it's a really good ambientish piece after Superheroes/Crescendolls. It's a nice break.
>>69451647
A part of me doesn't want to count Nightvision. As I said, it's more of an interlude than an actual, full-on song.
I guess it's purposeless, though
>>69451357
Sure anon, the blatant Iggy Pop and TVU rip-offs are pleb-filters.
>>69451705 (me)
Honestly, I'd say my least favorite song from Discovery is Crescendolls. (Sorry 'bout it)
>>69451705
>>69451694
It's fine as an interlude but technically it's still on the album. Other than that I'd say High Life or Short Circuit are the worst
>>69451483
Wow if everyone considers So Appalled the worst song here then this album is pretty fucking good
>>69451617
Quas is amazing man.
>>69451527
Is perfection
>>69451723
Actually, I take that back. Short Circuit is the worst songs from Discovery. (Completely forgot that song existed)
>>69451483
All of the Lights
Sorry
>>69451477
Okay, if it wasn't obvious, it's Wicked Ways.
:P
>>69451643
>I'd say the worst on Discovery is Digital Love
>>69451287
girl love me is the best song
>>69451643
I agree i think electioneering is the perfect follow up to fitter happier
>>69451671
When I'm Sixty Four stands out as a piece of shit but most of this album felt underwhelming to me
>>69451483
Unpopular opinion:
>I like So Appalled
>Blame Game is BY FAR the worst
Guess
>>69452377
I agree with Blame Game
>>69451643
>I've always been the weirdo that thinks Electioneering is one of the best on the album
well there's nothing odd about having horrible preferences
no need to feel strange about it
>>69452435
Five per cent for nothing.
>>69451671
Let me guess, is it With a Little Help From My Friends?
Because Joe Cocker did that far better (like every other Beatles song).
>>69452834
Time to get away or sound of silver?
>>69452435
Cans and Brahms? We Have Heaven? Five Per Cent for Nothing? Schindleria Praematurus?
>>69452880
Not him, but I consider Watch the Tapes the worst, but not by much
>>69452880
sound of silver, but I need to relisten to it. might change my mind.
>>69452537
I like ethiopean food and I don't like radiohead
>Wishin' you GAHDSPEED
>>69453668
This is literally the best song.
>>69451527
Hardcore hustle with no competition what so ever
I don't even have to say it
>>69453668
my least favorite is Nikes(don't kill me)
>>69451142
Fuck off
>>69452778
wrong and wronger
>>69452126
even wronger
>>69451620
A good song.
>>69451265
'Tis a Pity She Was a Whore
>>69453813
What's the worst track then, faggot?
>>69453742
What the fuck. Explain yourself
USER FRIENDLY FUCKIN' DOPE STAR OBSCENE
>>69451142
mfw that's my favorite
>>69453964
Within You, Without You is my favourite from this >>69451671
so not everyone has popular opinions. lol
>>69453873
Overload, but only very slightly. Nothing really 'bad' on the album
>>69454073
>Overload
End this mem. That's one of the best. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>69453915
Post human
>>69451142
That was a pleb filter and you failed the test. This is why first impressions are often correct, motherfucker.
the most obvious
>>69451477
Hell no, this album was consistent as fuck.
>>69451786
And Wicked Ways is great. That said, I think the S/T falters on Fix Me Now.
>>69451671
She's Leaving Home, I agree
>>69454408
But The Overload is the pleb filter.
>>69454438
fuck you, everything is goat.
>>69451142
Why don't you go kill yourself, mkay?
>>69454502
The Overload is the band trying to sound like Joy Division. And they don't even do a poor job of it, it just sounds a bit out of place with the rest of the album.
>>69451260
>not liking california
fucking pleb
HANG IT UP NOW OR NEVER
>>69451121
>>69454519
Aight.
>>69454521
The Overload is better than any Joy Division song. It's a perfect closer too; the energy of each track on the b-side lowers until it ends.
>>69453915
>not the title track
I WAS A HAND GRENADE WHO NEVER STOPPED EXPLODING
>>69452769
...Kim?
It should be obvious, anyways. I'll just come out and say it - why the fuck is DARE on this album?
>>69454513
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaWe_4AaH8Y
that song was hideously out of place, but the shitstorm it caused was lulzy.
>>69454619
I think DARE is a lot of fun
>>69454559
Eh, I can think of JD songs I like more. New Dawn Fades, Shadowplay, Passover, Twenty Four Hours, The Eternal. That said, I'll agree with you about the energy. At the end of the day I wouldn't call it a bad song, but I wouldn't call any song on Remain In Light bad either and something's gotta be the worst.
>>69454553
It's On the Run. And no On the Run isn't one of the better songs on here you fucking acid heads
>>69452854
Take a Load Off Your Feet?
>>69454638
Fun, but completely vapid and throwaway. The album would lose nothing if it was cut.
>>69454553
On The Run was a mistake
>>69454661
Fair enough. Nice JD selections too, nevertheless. Closer is lightyears better than UP.
>>69454559
>The Overload is better than any Joy Division song
ehhhhhhh... naahhh
>>69451671
Good Morning
>>69454658
Being completely honest here, I like Touched more than Sometimes. The latter sounds like this brief sound experiment that evokes a distorted VHS or some shit and gets out before it overstays its welcome, while the latter kills the flow the album has going up to that point and sounds more like a JAMC tribute than anything on the level of ambition of the other songs. It's fine on its own but in the context of Loveless as an album I do think Sometimes is the weakest song there.
>>69454478
He said worst man, not best.
>>69454658
I know, Soon is pretty disappointing, isn't it?
>>69454717
C'mon, Hot Opinion, it is though.
>>69454770
Soon's only dragged down by that ridiculously long outro. It'd be one of the better songs otherwise.
>>69451346
Fitter Happier
>>69454682
Hey Mama
>>69454688
It Ain't Easy (agree 100%)
>>69452880
>Sound of Silver
>The worst track
are you literally retarded?
>>69454781
It'd be GOAT without that shitty alt-dance beat.
>>69454784
3rd best song on the album IMO. Fucking love Fitter Happier.
>>69454797
>Hey Mama
So many people would crucify you for that pick. I want to say the general consensus there is Crack Music. I don't know what my least favorite from LR is, though. Never really thought about it.
>>69451346
No wurst song, my son
>>69454774
none
>>69454770
>Disorder
>Day Of The Lords
>Candidate
>Colony
>Atrocity Exhibition
honestly there's so many, I can't even list them all. The Overload's by far my least favorite on RiL tho honestly
>>69451142
fuck you
it's very straight forward message wise and has nice ambience
>>69452854
Student Demonstration Time
>>69454960
:^(
>>69454976
It's a great song. There aren't any songs on it that aren't great, but that one's the worst.
>>69454774
yep, its actually impressive how they made a song that everyone hates.
>>69454800
what are you, a fucking whore? the album was honestly either shit or 10/10
>>69454549
>not Jesus Christ Was An Only Child
>>69454821
>Crack Music
I don't get the hate for that song. That beat was fucking AMAZING.
free (you) to the anon that guesses it
>>69455241

>>69455241
obviously in the garage
>>69453857

>>69455241
Surf Wax America is the only song I don't like on here
>>69455280

ding ding ding!
nice try, other contestants
>>69453857
You're a faggot
>>69454774
>>69455162
It's Tthhee Ppaarrttyy, right? I fucking hate that song
>>69451166
Across the Fucking Universe. The Beatles are so overrated baka

I bet you don't even take care of your feet you piece of shit

R
The album is so god damn good save for that album. Would have DEFINITELY been in my top 5 without it.
obvious one
>>69455502
[Ahem]
>>69451527
>>69452854
>>69455477
I know you're thinking Student Demonstration Time, but you're wrong. It's objectively one of the better songs on the album, and certainly better than TALOYF
Title track
>>69452933
>Five Per Cent for Nothing? Schindleria Praematurus?
those are segues in and out of long distance runaround
>>69452854
Was about to post this
Student Demonstration Time, right?
>>69451121
Yes I can imagine
>>69455602
Nah, TALOYF isn't even a bad song it just has goofy lyrics. Student Demonstration Time not only sounds out of place and disrupts the flow of the entire album, but even in isolation it is an incredibly generic rock song with try hard lyrics that feels very forced and unnatural for the band.
>>69455377
They meant for it to be a criticism of the Parisian club scene. That's the female version and DVNO is kind of the male counterpart. I think knowing that makes those songs more enjoyable.
>>69455727
Lol, that is one of the dumbest opinions I have read here.
>>69455175
agreed. every other song is amazing, i get annoyed when i hear the intro to this
>>69455727
What? I really like the title track.
Lord Kill The Pain is the obvious downfall of the album imo. Not because it's a bad song, just doesn't fit that well in the album.
>>69451483
>>69452377
agree so much
i have no idea how people can shit on so appalled so much, or how it's generally considered the worst track. i don't think it's a standout - it's no runaway, sure, but i think it's great still. blame game is the only song i would describe as really bad.
>>69455936
I actually like DVNO
Maybe I just hate women
>>69454774
DNVO
>>69454663
>>69454677
>>69454688
Fuckin' It Ain't Easy
>>69456213
I actually don't get this.
I adore every song on this album. No tracks have ever stood out as even slightly bad.
>>69456253
>it ain't easy
>bad
??????
>>69454688
>K. West
Really made me think.
>>69456289
Holy fucking fuck, the fact that you didn't immediately fucking recognize that Moonchild is pure absolute unadulterated fucking SHIT immediately is a sign of how fucking contrarian you are.
>>69456213
Moonchild.
>>69456386
Moonchild is great nigga
It would be more contrarian to say that it's shit
Name any flaw with the song
>>69451671
>Good Morning Good Morning.
When I'm Sixty Four (and all of Paul's granny songs) are pleb filters. I can't stand the mouthbreathers that don't appreciate those songs.
>>69456386
I can understand not liking the noodling at the end but the main part of the song is good.
>>69456407
I'm biting the bait. It's literally 2 minutes of actual song and 9 minutes of pointless noodling that detracts from an otherwise perfect album. If not for Moonchild, ItCotCK would be the greatest prog album of all time with all 10/10s, but thanks to that utterly detestable shitheap, the honor goes to Foxtrot.
The only good thing that can be said about Moonchild is that it's an industrial-strength, military-grade pleb filter.
>>69453857
Kill yourself
>>69454781
All loveless songs are about 1-2 minutes longer than they need to be, you're supposed to just zone out a little
>>69451527
Hardcore Hustle and Shadow of Tomorrow are the obvious weaker links but they still flow within the context of the album, I don't wish they weren't there or anything
>>69456493
>Shadows of Tomorrow
you're fucked in the head m8 that's one of the best tracks
>>69454672
The album already feels too short, even though it's not
DARE was a #1 too (their only in the UK), I wouldn't want to deprive Damon of that
But it doesn't completely fit, you're right about that
>>69454553
Money. These fags saying On The Run are fucking degenerate.
>>69456465
I love it.
I think It's got a very nice ambiance through the whole thing. I can't change your mind though.
>>69456527
It's kinda rambly and pointless, and I've done acid dozens of times and listened to plenty of Lord Quas
It's by no means bad or warranting a skip, it's just slightly worse than the other tracks on one of the greatest albums ever made
>>69456689
>rambly and pointless
I suppose, if you can't decipher it. I personally think it's ingenious. I respect that you at least just consider it less great among other greats, that I can respect more. The album's certainly a 10/10
>>69456718
silver hammer?
>>69457029
I was thinking Her Majesty (or She's So Heavy for bait points), but given that that's not really a real song (not even mentioned in the original track listing, so it's basically a hidden track), Silver Hammer does fit better. Still a good tune, though.
>>69456407
>It would be more contrarian to say that it's shit
no it fucking wouldn't be. is it your first day here? moonchild is the worst song by a long shot because of the stupid free jamz shit that takes up the majority of it.
>>69456544
This. On the Run was at least interesting even if it was shitty. Money was both uninteresting and shitty.
>>69455733
Alright, so We Have Heaven?
>>69457157
I know that it's the least liked on /mu/ by a long shot, but when I hear people discussing the album outside of /mu/ it's generally not negative at all.
I don't get the hate here.
>>69452379
We Suck Young Blood is in between two of the best songs on the album and it's probably the worst non-PH song in their catalog
>>69452458
Tempted, obviously
>>69454737
I agree that Touched is a lot of fun and that the placement of Sometimes is weird but it's a goddamn beautiful song
>>69454682
Bring Me Down
>>69454849
Informal Gluttony?
>>69456465
You know opinions exist right? Personally, I think I Talk to the Wind is the worst track. But that isnt objective either. Stop being a twat
>remove let my baby stay
>>69458308
Honestly I like that song
>>69451483
monster
>>69451588

>>69458308
>remove shit opinion

>>69454553

>>69454774
>I'M TURNIN ORANGE FROM ALL DA CARATS AROUND MA NECK
two headed boy
>>69455241
fuck off there's none
>>69458454
motherfucker you are not trying to tell me you think time is the worst song on DSOTM
>>69458768
.....
I think that Communist Daughter or Untitled are the most obvious trash tracks here, with my personal vote going to Untitled in that it kinda jars the flow between Ghost and Two Headed Boy Part 2.
>>69456426
>I can't stand the mouthbreathers that don't appreciate those songs.
You mean like John Lennon?
>>69451265
Sue IMO
but some people say pity she was a whore
>>69454619
DARE is great, you are wrong
>>69455241
In the Garage because of the lyrics
>>69456309
Pull Out
>>69457292
/mu/ is full of contrarian faggots who wants to find a reason to hate on a great album just because it's popular
Moonchild is great and the free improvisation part is beautiful
>>69451617
>>69453798
>>69456493
Funny, Shadows of Tomorrow is actually one my favorite track. I thought that Rainbows was the obvious worst track.
>>69452377
I'm with you
Obviously
>>69454619
Funny way to spell White Light my friend
>>69454682
We Major was way too long for my liking
>>69454774
I liked pretty much every track on this
>>69451142
What is wrong with you ??
>>69460823
Most people love Rainbows because it's quite catchy and memorable, and does an admirable job constructing a new song and melody out of samples. It's also probably been covered more than any other track
Doom's singing is weak but not unbearable, it's kinda funny
>>69454774
One Minute to Midnight, I agree.
>>69454737
sometimes is one of my favorite songs and i see nothing wrong with it in the context of the album
>>69451142
I thought it was the Overload.....
>>69453857

>>69456718
>>69457029
>>69457133

>>69462889

>man speaking backwards
>>69451121
You know the one.
>>69451142
but that's my favorite track
>>69456632
I Ain't Superstitious is the one I always skip
>>69454737
I've always seen Sometimes as marking the beginning of the last chapter of Loveless
>rhyming "masses" with "masses"
Really, Iommi?
>inb4 "hurr durr two different words"
Fuck off.
>>69455454
If you're counting bonus tracks, it's clearly the Just Like Heaven cover. If not, then it's Lose
>>69451483

>>69457065
>Posting an album where every song is the worst song
>>69455241
Holiday
We all 'Know' the answer to this one
>>69456213
Moonchild's only sin is that the noodling is mixed too low. Almost impossible to hear in anything but dead silence.
>>69465769
I agree, Her Psychology Today is out of place here.
>>69465677
pretty lame moment, but the song is one of the best on the album
>>69457301
WYSB is one of their most underrated songs IMO. It doesn't sound very "Radiohead" sure, but the whole monolithic gothic dirge thing it has going on is fine by me. Makes me sad that the only part of that song a lot of people seem to like is the break in the middle, I don't see what's wrong with the rest of it. My least favorite would be Punchup and even that has that fantastic bassline going for it. I don't think HTTT has any bad songs, really.
>>69452379
Backdrifts
>>69466267
Backdrifts is a lot like Where I End And You Begin, only moodier and more of a downer. Always found it to be rather picturesque, kinda like a bunch of forgotten nobodies just staring up into the sky because there's nothing else to do.
>>69465677
How are "masses" and "masses" two different words?
>>69460823
>>69462535
>>69455502
>>69451527

>>69451326
You're one of those plebs that hates Drunk Girls aren't you?
>>69466903
Yeah, but I hate Somebody's Calling Me even more
>>69462942
There is nothing wrong is Meat is Murder
Well, unless you take the lyrics seriously. But they're too ridiculous to take seriously anyway
>>69451720
But James Murphy's entire career is basically rip offs of various post punk groups and Bowie
Graduation, because it takes extraordinary incompetence to make the backbone of your song a sample from golden era Can and still have it firmly be the worst track on the album.
>>69451483
why does everyone say so appalled
That song has the best beat of all time
>>69467316
I don't see it. Reckoner has always been my least favorite though and no one agrees with me there so fuck it.
>>69466750
I think it's because they have different meanings.
The first masses refers to a large number
The second refers to a religious mass
>>69467316
It's videotape right?
>>69467321
Because it's fuckin' ridikulus how long it drags on. Also I don't care that much for its beat, not really sure what's special about it.
>>69467316
WAS ABOUT TO POST THIS BUT ITS VIDEOTAPE
>>69467321
yeah lmao
fuckin goes hard af
Ricochet is the worst David Bowie song.
>>69467450
>>69467484
Videotape is arguably their best closer thematically though. It'd be trash if it were anywhere else on the album but as a closing statement it's fantastic.

Maybe I've just worn out my dopamine receptors, but When You Sleep does nothing for me. I find the main guitar melody to be kinda annoying, and the drums too bright sounding. It's the most ordinary track on an otherwise extraordinary album.

Nah, I'm the guy who said DARE and I stand by it being a waste of time. To be fair though I don't care much for that kind of song but even if I did it still feels shoehorned in. White Light, however, is underrated as fuck.

It's not just you, that track strikes me as the "obvious single pick", the one that is so accessible that anyone, even people who hate the album, can latch on to it.

Yep. The couplet that was being referred to was:
>Generals gathered in their masses
>Just like witches at black masses
At first glance, it looks dumb, but it's actually slightly genius when you consider that they're two different words. Crafty wordplay.
Additionally, consider that the original lyrics did make more sense - the song was originally called Walpurgis (after Walpurgis Night, or Walpurgisnacht) and was actually about witches and demons instead of being a general anti-war song that used witches and demons as metaphor.
>Witches gather at black masses
>Bodies burning in red ashes
But the record company didn't like that because it was too "demonic" (not sure what else you'd expect from a band called Black Sabbath but whatever), and now we have War Pigs - a contracted Walpurgis. If you'd like to give the original a listen:

Personally, I find the new lyrics a lot better, but peering into the history of the song gives the opening couplet a bit more context and justifies masses/masses.
If you couldn't tell, War Pigs is one of my favorite songs.

Top kek.

Get fucked. Every song on that album is terrific. Even Be My Wife.
>>69468193
>get fucked
>you really showed me
The Of Montreal track on Janelle Monae's ArchAndroid is abysmal and totally derails that amazing album.

th-that's like a western young thug, good track

Given the fact that Morrisey was and still is a die-hard vegetarian I take the lyrics as seriously as the word serious allows me to.
>>69454553

If you mean Electioneering fuck off
>>69468944

That's your problem

In a perfect world I'd say Blame Game but I'm 99% sure that's not what you're referring to

This album is garbage but Stronger Than I Was and Legacy are especially awful songs
