So we can all agree this is AOTY 2016 right?
the cover makes me horny so ye
it was alright but i thought it was relatively bland
It came out at the same time as the new radiohead album so sadly, it was ignored. This is still one of the best tracks he's ever done:

it's worse than luxury problems, so it isn't good.
Out of the ones i've heard so far, yea.
>worse than luxury problems
Pleb opinion. Luxury Problems didn't age well and is probably his worst release. The claustrophobic, dub-techno production just gives me a headache after a while.

contrarian opinion.
The claustrophobic dub-techno production is conscious altering, and it just gives me pleasure after a while.

Most of the production on Luxury Problems sound like left-overs from We Stay Together. It still has that tribal underdone but the production is just way too busy and overdriven for the additional vocals to sit on top. It was a novel idea back when LR was released because there wasn't any dub-techno similar to it but it didn't age well.

I dunno, personally I really like those dense sounds. It's a really full sounding, eerie, dub-tech album. and yeah, very unique.
I don't know what you mean by tribal undertone.

the uk bass sound that tmv exhibits will probably not age well either tho, tbqh
no
he's been on a long slow decline since luxury problems

This Luxury Problem meme needs to end. All he did was combine dub-techno with female vocals and somehow, people's minds were blown. Faith in Strangers had way better textures and song progression. I still think We Stay Together is his best release.
