Thoughts about Rise Against
Like The Angel was the best song on THUG.
Babby's first vaguely politicized rock music. Leftist propagandists.

My fav band through my teenagehood, fuckin love them, wish they would write better songs now though, think they've burned out all the catchy chord sequences ayyyyy
My favourite band when I was 13
Gateway to actual punk though
My favorite band for years as a teen. I still think their singer Tim McIlrath is really talented and pretty much makes the band, I kinda wish he'd leave and do something better. Not a huge fan of them nowadays.
>pic related, the only album by them I still occasionally listen to

Your subjective opinion has cancer
They were my favourite band as a teenager and I guess they still are. Something about their sound really resonates with me and I'm not the kind of person who "grows out" of artists/bands after a while
They were my favorite band a couple years back before I got into ska. Needless to say, they are still one of my favorite bands and Swing Life Away was their best song, IMO.
They were my favorite band a couple years back before I got into gay porn. Needless to say, they are still one of my favorite bands and Swing Life Away was their best song to fuck my dad too, IMO.

Yeah.
The music still isn't that bad tho. Or maybe I'm just deluded because I liked them as a teen.
Loved them in middle school, but their albums have gotten exponentially worse starting with Appeal to Reason. They're still capable of putting out good singles, but they stopped trying.
There's also never really an occasion to listen to them.
You'd think they'd be political based off their name but most of their songs just mean "We don't like the bad guys" or "donate to charity." They don't support any form of actual rebellion or resistance but instead provide white kids a way to let out their righteous indignation. They're leeching off an energy that could be put to better use and found a way to market their music long after they stopped enjoying it.
Unraveling/RPM are great and McIlrath is dreamy.
