Loveless has actual musical content within it. Spiderland is so dull and shapeless.

Both are masterpieces. Spiderland requires more time and patience to appreciate imo, and I don't think it's even worth listening to unless you're going to do nothing except listen. It's obvious from the first 10 seconds of Loveless that it's fucking amazing, plus it can be enjoyed in social situations or alone. For me it's best enjoyed stoned with mates.

if you don't enjoy spiderland you probably think EITS is the pinnacle of post-rock or something and your favourite math-rock album is american football and basically kys fgt

I disagree, Spiderland hit me pretty hard at first. I didn't love it on first listen but Breadcrumb Trail and Washer had me hooked. With Loveless I pretty much only liked Only Shallow at first and it took way longer for the rest to grow on me.
