I don't listen to albums till i see a few critic reviews. Then I generally like it as much as they do. I don't know why, it's just that is. So i'll wait till fantano and the guardian to review it i suppose.

This is the only album I've listened from him and I liked 'me and your mama' and 'riot', that's about it.

the last track is decent and so were the singles but the rest of it is just kinda like: 'listens to funkadelic once' tier. gambino too far up his own arse to ever surpass meh tier

3/4ths of the album are Funkadelic ripoff tracks.
Redbone was pretty good though, rest seems like a cover album.

Never listened to childish gambino, so idk why you guys hate him so much. I liked the album as a whole, pretty funky, I dig redbone, california, boogieman.
It surprised me that i didn't hear any rapping though.

I didn't care for it on the first listen, but I usually give it a couple listens before I drop it altogether. I gotta say the opener is fucking mesmerizing for me, but other than a few other tracks it kinda falls flat on it's face.
