Pretty Hate Machine isn't "shit" by any means, but I put it towards the bottom.

Ringfinger's pretty boring as a way to close an album it pales in comparison how strongly the album opens up, with Head Like A Hole and then Terribly Lie right following through, really strong tracks, but that's about it.

Then you got "Something I Can Never Have", PHM has the worst version of this song and you are better off just listening to the "Still" version which feels much more genuine and honest.

That's What I Get is a disaster, worst lyrics from Trent. He was young and was honest and I can appreacite that, but jesus christ dude.

Overall, Pretty Hate Machine in my personal opinion is the weakest album, but still has some really outstanding tracks. As an entire album though? Not really all that great.
