Buying a new setup with some headphones of higher quality for my desktop, however I don't have an amp and the headphones I'm looking at are 250 ohms. My budget is about $150 Canadian give or take and I'm currently looking at getting the E10K, but I know there's probably something better so I'd like some advice.
micca OriGen+ , i love mine, obviously not the best out there, but definitely the best for its price
I use a Fiio E09K headphone amp with the E17 dac plugged into it and works great for my Sennheiser HD650s.

Bit out of my price range, unless I'm just looking at the wrong places. Not sure if I'll really be going anywhere with my headphones either.

I bought both of them for 100 bucks each, they might have became more expensive since then...

On amazon and ebay it looks like they are going for upwards up 500-600 for both and half that for by themselves.

Looks like they changed the setup, now its Fiio K5 (109usd) + E17K (99usd)

I think Fiio stopped making them, so the only people selling them are overpricing the shit out of them.

Almost 400 canadollars, still a lot for me right now. This economy isn't doing me any favors. >>69345914
It looks like its Fiio selling them on amazon though, the combo for the E09K and E17 for like 550cad

Honestly the one you're looking at the E10K would work fine, just upgrade later as you go since you're just starting out. I was looking into going high end with my headphones but I just decided to go all out on loudspeakers.

I might just go with the micca Origen+ like this guy said. It's not much more expensive and seems better suited for higher ohms. Looks like the E10K would need High gain turned on so the micca might be a better idea in the future if I get new headphones or speakers down the line. I'll wait a bit longer though if anyone has more advice.
