The production on Reasonable Doubt is some of the nicest production I've ever heard on a rap album. The nice classy jazz samples were a great element in the album and Jay couldn't come close to it even with his other 'classic' albums.
Plus, unlike every other Jay album, this one does not have a SINGLE bad track on it, while others would have at least one.
(In fact the album that followed R.D. was his worst by far, funnily enough).
