2. Daggers
3. Pursuer

I feel like it's a meme to call this album over-compressed but god damn it sounds like such a brick of sound I can't stand it. It had potential to be so lush, dense, and sprawling - but no. Really a shame.
over compressed core.

This is gorgeous, thanks.
You might like this.
Also, if anybody can recc something similar to this feel but more focused on songwriting and less "soundtrack-y" I would be very happy.

no problem. Bonus that it's 2016 music too

Also maybe try this:
Hammock - Everything and Nothing
it's a little more guitarish and less synthy, but very similar. It's on Spotify
Bump because I love this album
It's the over compressed meme again. Try not listening to the album on youtube with your $15 earbuds.
They were able to create a wall of sound while still maintaining each instrument's identity.

I listened to the album on nice headphones, studio monitors, and in my car and it is still definitely, without a doubt over-compressed. Almost everything is very close to being the same volume which makes it all sound pretty flat.
It's not unlistenable but it had potential to sound much better than it does.
This maybe.

>album starts with 30 seconds of silence
This better be good.

They did with Nostalgia what the couldn't with Ceres. Still a decent album.

Listening to this for the first time. This is pretty damn cool. What do you call this type of music?
