The waltz is definitely in 7.
The flying lotus one is in 13 but is felt as alternating measures of 6 and 7

Wait, no, this is 6/8.
>>69336224
We're both right/wrong. It starts in 6 but switches to 7.
>>69336278
Or actually it's the other way around. I'd have to listen more to figure out exactly how but it definitely switches between a few measures of 7 and a few of 6
Measure of 11, measure of 13, measure of 15

lol

youtube is not responsible for shoddy limiting, furthermore mastering engineers generally take youtube (and other shitty streaming services) into account and this record was released in 2016 so there is no excuse

I don't know, but I'm really enjoying the album. It reminds me a bit of You're Dead! by FlyLo, can anyone suggest some more albums like this?

Does having 7 equally-spaced beats per bar really qualify something as being called septuple meter?
I mean, we don't call 4/4 quartal meter, we call it duple, because the smallest division of it's metric stress-pattern is two.
Surely 7/4 is just alternating duple-duple-triple, duple-triple-duple, or triple-duple-duple meter? In order for something to be in septuple meter, it's phrasings of 7 need to be the smallest metric unit at which a pulse can be felt: the sevens need to feel like sevens, and not like an additive grouping of twos and threes.
For example: The Avishai Cohen trio play a song in 4/4 where each two-bar phrase is broken down into: 4-5-4-5-4-5-5 semiquavers. Because of the phrasing and the speed that's played at, I'd consider that a proper example of quintal meter (since the fives there feel more like a slight lengthening of the fours, and your ear doesn't naturally want to break them down into a two and a three).
