I remember that Voices From The Lake being too long and uneventful for me, even as an ambient album
But that was years ago
I recommend this Spyra guy if you don't know him... he's in a place between ambient, berlin school, trance and techno... I thnk
I like him, he has stuff with Pete Namlook too
>>69335939
It definitely could've been shorter, but I enjoyed the textures a lot. Thanks man, I'll check em out

>Check out Hank & Slim- World Turned Gingham
Yeah, I remember listening to that a couple of times, and even rating it... but I don't really remember much about it other than some... distorted samples of answering machines, maybe? My memory has been shit recently
Anyway I recommend more terry Riley, I really like these 2 soundtracks he made that were later in a compilation... you gonna find them I believe in you
>>69336121
I think you'd really like their cover of I'm Not Like Everybody Else
I know I do
I have no idea why I'm listening to buttrock now
>>69335841
Nice industrial
>>69335985
i meant >>69335854 for the second one
>>69336216
Is that supposed to be funny or what? Surely you're just making a cheap failed attempt at comedy.
>>69336147
That was definitely on it. I've been meaning to go through Terry's deeper catalog, I'll get on that
>>69336152
Ya I can't gauge what you actually like from that to rec you something haha
2016 blows
>>69336528
Agreed on Next Thing. Frankie is such a terrible musician. I really don't get her popularity
>>69336017
Have you listened to other early 90s Flaming Lips? What's your favorite?
>>69336113
I still need to listen to Kinoko's other stuff.
>>69336528
then stop listening to 2016
>>69337783
That's probably my favorite honestly. I'm not a big fan of CTM
>>69339215
What about Hit to Death? Also listening to the downmix of Zaireeka is essential. It's probably my favorite by them. Not really a fan of anything from the Soft Bulletin and onwards though.

What was your favorite track on Cabled Linear Traction. I personally love that album so much. All of their stuff is worth checking out imo if you haven't yet.
>>69339551
truuuuuu
if you made a group out of all the ex-muses I love it would be bigger than the current lineup
>>69339629
dang that's right
they should be called...
...9 ex-Muses
>>69339593
yeah it's a very solid album and i'll be listening to it more
maybe i'll raise the rating to 4 stars if it keeps growing on me
my favorite is Untitled #2, all its 8 minutes are perfect, especially that spoken word sample at the end
>>69339472
I don't think I've listened to Hit in years, and I like Zaireeka about as much as Satellite. Ya see Yoshimi is by far my favorite album of theirs
