Opinion on /r/indieheads-core albums?
>>69333412
i like most of these albums
it's a good list for those looking to get into more "alternative" music.
inb4 plebbit
most of these albums get spammed on this board just as much
should place Visions there
definitely some really good albums there but some are pretty damn shit
>>69333412
pretty much the same list as here.
>>69333412
Wow, we are no different than reddit it seems
>>69333455
>most of these albums get spammed on this board just as much
this is why mu sucks
>>69333412
>Classics
>90's
kek
>>69333412
better than /mu/core
>>69333412
It's like I'm 16 again
Horrible list
>>69333412
>Arctic Monkeys
>No Vespertine
>Oasis
>>69333412
Animal Collective is shit
Grizzly Bear is shit
LCD Soundsystem is shit
Panda Bear is shit
Postal Service is shit
St. Vincent is shit
Tame Impala is shit
White Stripes is shit
Vampure Weekend is shit
good
>>69333412
i mean its pretty much exactly like /mu/core, so i dont see why we have any reason to complain
>>69335392
>i mean its pretty much exactly like /mu/core
Wrong.
>>69335492
what the fuck is this, did you just go out and purposely find the most obscure mucore chart you could find
this is the chart most people on here use, and 90% of the albums on op's chart are on here or are at least discussed frequently.
>>69333412
>modern music
>nothing post 2010
>May 2014
this is unacceptable
>classics
>Beck
>Two Bork albums
>Two Weezer
>Two Pavement
>Bonnie Prince Billy
>3 albums from before 1991
woo boy good chart
also the people that made this really like Pitchfork don't they
>>69333412
Looks like my girlfriend's music library lol
>>69333455
Yeah mostly what this guy said
>>69335548
That's just taken out of one persons' ass, this chart is what people of /mu/ have voted for:
>>69335787
nice
>>69333648
Indie didn't exist before the late 80s
>>69333412
Forgot grizzly bear existed the fuck
Pretty much all of these are good but the people who like this stuff are the single most boring group of people you'll ever meet
>>69336218
but most of these albums can't even be labeled as indie
>>69335548
>obscure
hows your first day on mu going?
>>69336647
ive been on /mu/ for years and i havent seen any of the albums on the first 2 rows discussed once besides the two miles davis ones.
>>69335787
this is still very similar to the r/indieheads chart in the op, so my point remains
>>69333412
>indie
>no guided by voices
>no built to spill
>the cure
also how the fuck is weezer indie? they released the blue album on fucking dgc records lmao
>>69333492
/r/indieheads is just 90% /mu/tants
I still think that Interpol album is far and away the best post-punk revival album
>>69336878
the only one that comes close is The Boxer and we all know that The National is fucking boring
They literally only talk about indie rock.
That's why I moved here
ive definetly seen worse i mean those are some pretty good "indie" albums. the classics are lacking but pretty guud list
>>69333412
The 2000s picks are basically what I listened to in high school, and I still hold a lot of those albums in high regard. The 90s picks are actually really solid, I'm glad I See a Darkness and Emergency & I are on there. Shocked that there's no Godspeed, though. Laughing Stock should have been on the 90s list too, but maybe I just really like entry-level post-rock.
>>69333412
pretty much the same as /mu/ but a bit more cringe
>>69336911
Nah man they talk alot about popular rnb shit. You should have seen the circlejerk there for Solange's album.
Good chart, but
>no lift your skinny fists
>>69333412
Not much worse than anything I'd expect /mu/ to produce. Still pretty bad though.
>>69336892
I love The National but I still think Turn on the Bright Lights is the GOAT
>>69335548
Here's the newest one actually
Little changes, but still
>>69333412
A lot of good albums, a lot of mediocre, not that many bad
>>69337711
>replacing snowing with beck
>replacing orchid with fucking vaperwave
we don't even like beck anymore
also, we should add a hardcore/screamo section tbqh, it's almost as relevant as metal
