That's a pretty extreme exaggeration, it's an enjoyable enough loop for what it is and I like how the album starts and ends with samples from the same band (Genesis) but it just seems like a cop out to make it go on so long without doing anything to the sample besides slowing it down and looping it. If you really want to make it an hour long you could just make your own version out of the sample.

I'm a bitch for muffled vaporwave samples, especially when there's deep bass involved. I don't really like vaportrap with the exception of Blank Banshee, and it's difficult for me to listen to most newer vaporwave.

While I understand most genre defining vaporwave albums use heavy sampling, I feel as if all of the stuff that comes out now has no imagination to it. I listen to some on soundcloud or youtube and I'm appalled at the blatant laziness of some of these albums.

Most of them take literally an entire song and just put a filter on it. I also don't understand the whole "vaporwave is an anticapitalist" movement.

Can anyone recommend me some good albums that have come out recently? Maybe there are some gems I have missed.

Eh there are plenty enough albums that have a good amount of effort put into them. It's kind of annoying seeing low effort but aesthetic stuff getting popular. To prove my point I made an aesthetic low effort project which like I said already has 150+ downloads and got me $10 (I don't charge for the albums but some people donated) I might as well make some money off it lol. My project is gonna become the next Cat corp/ Waterfront dining (it still has more effort than those projects too lmao, though not much)
I've been producing for years so it's easy for me to knock back vaporwave tracks really fast.

I actually got two copies of the Telepath/Silver Richards split. It took over a month to arrive so I contacted the label dude and he sent me another just in case. Nice guy.

The only vaporwave tape I really want is the Beer on the rug version of Mediafired since it's my favorite. I had the Exo tapes reissue but sold it cause I'd rather try and get a BOTR version since it's pro made.
