Just better posters with, what felt like, more of a tight-knit user base. But that was because there were less people on the board altogether.

Also, less focus on mainstream/top 40 acts. There were still mainstream acts discussed, just much less of it.

EVERYONE cared about a niche of trips. Although a trip made that pic. At least that one was on-topic rather than being a bloated chart like pic related.

I'm def a newfag by all metrics but my fav memory of mu is when I lurked around the time the first stream of Anco's Centipede Hz went up, so fall 2012.

I just remember people freaking out about how good it was, before the bullshit burrito-core p4k review came out. A particular comment that sticks out was someone changing the lyrics at the end of Moonjock from LET IT OUT LET IT OUT to REDDIT OUT REDDIT OUT.
