is the x2u XLR to USB signal adapter by Shure american audio products corporation worth the price that it is asking for, which is $99
is that a soda bottle
There better be some pretty good soda in there for how much it costs.
>>69295175
are you a soda bottle?
>>69295169
bump for a serious answer
>>69295369
price seems okay considering a decent wireless microphone setup starts at around $300
the question is how well does it work though
>>69295448
yeah well thats my question
>>69295468
if you want to record direct into your computer you're probably better off buying a USB interface or small mixer since you can control the gain
>>69295502
aaaaaaaand I just realized you can control the gain on the x2u oops
>>69295525
so it is a good option then?
>>69295502
>>69295525
>>69295169
Does is support phantom power?
>>69295539
looks pretty decent for the price and the amazon reviews are good, I'd give it a shot
>>69295559
yeah it has the option, that's what that little +48V on it is
>>69295568
What mixers would be good if this happens to be a piece of junk?
>>69295632
I'm not too sure about low cost mixers
I use a steinberg UR-12 interface with an art tube mp pre-amp for home recording but I wouldn't recommend it
>>69295805
Why not?
>>69295169
Just get the Blue Icicle for half the price. It does the same thing.
I would recommend getting an actual audio interface though. If there's any chance at all you might want to do more stuff with recording you might as well just jump on an interface.
>>69295169
No
For 100$ you've got a singal (shitty) mic preamp and (shitty) DAC.
For 150$ you can get a scarlett 2i2 which is a proper entry level interface with 2 preamps and instrument inputs.

single*
ADC*
Seems like a nice thing to have if you already have an audio interface
>>69298677
>>69298655
Also, you can find tons of 2i2s on eBay for much less than 100 bucks
>>69298813
how good is that one?
